There's a moment, around midday in Valldemossa, when you've walked the lanes and seen the Charterhouse and you're ready to sit down. That's what La Posada is for — we open at 11:00, on the terrace of the Palacio del Rey Sancho, with the mountains in front of you.
A real lunch, not a rushed one
Plenty of places will sell you a quick plate. We'd rather give you a proper Mallorcan lunch — something off the wood-fired grill, a fresh salad, a glass of island wine — without it taking your whole afternoon. It still fits comfortably into a day trip, and you eat it with one of the best views in the village.
What to order
Go for the grill: suckling lamb chops, entrecôte, or grilled sea bream with a salad. Begin with garlic prawns or a grilled starter while you settle in and take in the terrace view. The full list, with prices, is on the menu.
Staying into the evening? The same terrace turns to a romantic dinner at sunset, and gathers a group beautifully for private events and celebrations.
